In what I agreed to understand as Reality, I wear a mask. Shielded and accessorized, I play the roles expected in Reality that are often not real to me.

 

Fantasy is where I get to be mask-less. In Fantasy, I am true self, exposed, and raw. 

 

I paint as raw ME. I paint in Fantasy. I paint Fantasy. I make "things of fantasy" visible.

I see shapes, colors, and texture arranged and mixed to tickle my aesthetic sense. They are visually, emotionally, and intellectually stimulating puzzles. They are layers of conflicting stories and contrasting visual elements in harmony. I see irreversible memories, impossible dreams, improbable future. They project lucidity, confusion, anger, bliss, hate, ecstasy... and other colorless, shapeless, things. I see them on my canvas.  They are visible.
